Where does the weather data come from?

Apple Weather and the high-resolution European ICON-D2 model for wind, the Copernicus Mediterranean marine model for waves and sea state, official EU MeteoAlarm warnings, and RainViewer radar.

What is the Boating Window?

A 0–100 score summarizing wind, gusts and waves into a plain answer — good to go, marginal, or not today. It is a planning aid, not a go/no-go authority.

Why does the app ask for my location?

To open on the conditions where you are and power live features on the water. Your location never leaves your device except to fetch forecasts for that position.

Tides look small — is that right?

Yes — the Adriatic is a low-tide (microtidal) sea; typical ranges are 30–100 cm. Where a port-referenced source is available we show it; otherwise the curve is an estimate.

Can I rely on Desta for navigation?

No. Desta shows forecasts and estimates for planning. Always use official charts and sources — in Croatia, DHMZ and HHI — and your own judgement at sea.
